Canal in the back streets of Venice
One of my goals in Venice was to hit the back streets and find the canals and alleyways that most people don't see. This scene appealed to me because it looked like everyday life in Venice--the laundry, the 'more practical' speed boats (hard to get to work paddling a Gondola), and the porch adorned with plants and flowers. I also love the multitude of colors you find everywhere in Venice--together with the canals they provide a signature look to the city.
